Frequently Asked Questions
Come as you are! Everyone starts as a beginner and yoga is for everyBODY!
Come! This is why we practice. Weather you can do all the poses or not, this practice is for everyBODY and has so many benefits. You can sit in a chair, lay down or do all the yoga poses. That’s your choice. It’s the breath and posture of your heart that matters most, not how flexible you are.
A unique worship experience. Each Holy Yoga class is 50 minutes long. Our practice is a combination of Hatha & Bhakti yoga. We practice yoga and worship Jesus Christ with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30). We start with pranayama/breath work, prayer, scripture reading and meditation. We move into a sequence of poses/vinyasa flow that’s paired with God honoring worship music. We end with stillness and ultimate rest in savasana/final resting pose for five minutes. Every class is prayed over, Spirit led, slightly different and unique. If God is inviting you into this sacred space, I encourage you to come! Wear comfortable clothing, bring water, a yoga mat and an open heart. Extra mats are always available. See you soon!
Holy Yoga is experiential worship created to deepen people’s connection to Christ. Our soul purpose is to facilitate a Christ honoring experience that offers an opportunity to believers and non believers alike to authentically connect to God through his word, worship and wellness. – Holy Yoga
Kathryn has been practicing yoga for ten years and has attained over 500 hours of world class yoga training. Her passion for movement and art began at an early age with dance, voice, music and art lessons. She continues to practice, create and live out of the radical freedom she’s been given through her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her favorite yoga pose is child’s pose and you can find her singing, gardening and dancing with her family daily.
She believes yoga is for everyBODY and her warm, attentive, inviting spirit holds a safe space for all. She loves to be a “bridge” for beginners and finds joy watching students transform from the inside out. Kathryn believes that every breath is Holy and encourages her students to practice the ongoing flow of worship and devotion on and off their mat.
