Hello Friend!
How are you? How’s your heart rate? As we head into this new season, I pray you are finding ways to slow down, breathe fully, and rest deeply in the love of Jesus.
This past weekend, I got to partner with Kay Warren at Saddleback Church for her Breathe Retreat. I got to meet so many beautiful moms and do what I love. As I led breath prayer, holy yoga, and breathwork workshops, I encouraged each woman to simply breathe.
“Exhale, let go, surrender what’s heavy.”
“Inhale, receive, experience what’s light.”

I love this work and was reminded (once again) just how powerful the breath is. Each one contains the gift of Life itself, coming straight from God, and is full of healing power to shift our nervous system, brain, and entire body….so amazing! And the best part is, it’s free and always available to us.
As we head into this new season, I encourage you to breathe and consider three things:
- JESUS LOVES YOU – He doesn’t just like you or tolerate you, but He really values you, cares about you, and delights in you. In Zephaniah 3:17 it says, “He rejoices over you with singing!” So kick the stinky lies of the enemy out and focus on the Truth today.

2. BREATH PRAYER – Have you heard of it? It’s exactly what it sounds like, intentionally breathing and praying scripture at the same time. Breath prayer is a powerful tool you can learn and incorporate into your daily life. Find a scripture that’s resonating with you today and simply breathe it in and out. You can use the whole passage or use one word. For example: Psalms 46:10 says, “Be Still and know that I am God.”
INHALE: Be still and know. EXHALE: that I am God. REPEAT as many times as you’d like.

3. TREE POSE – As I taught holy yoga under the Purpose Tree at Saddleback, I was reminded of how much I love this pose. Maybe give it a try this week. “What makes this pose special is that it teaches you to explore your connection with your body. Maybe one day your lifted foot is positioned closer to your groin. Maybe another day, you leave your foot partially on the ground for balance. Be honest with your limits and learn to honor what your body needs on any given day.” – Yoga Journal

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Roman 15:13
I love hearing from you! Let me know what resonated or stood out to you.
